Responsibilities

• Manage complex technical projects and a team of software engineers
• Highly technical, own and influence technical design, and be a hands-on coder
• Able to coach and mentor team members, provide frequent and constructive feedback to team
• Participate in the hiring process
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 7 – 10 years of software Engineering experience, 2 years of Managerial experience
• Previous leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience in Object Oriented programming language like Java or C++
• Ability to work cross functionally in a high paced environment
• Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g. Cassandra
• Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce
• Experience with Amazon Web Services infrastructure (EC2, S3, Elastic MapReduce)
