Qualification and Skills Required
- PhD degree specializing in a relevant field such as Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Artificial intelligence or Operations Research
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling/machine learning/ data mining concepts, and a track record solving problems with these methods.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: ability to tell a clear, concise, actionable story with data, to folks across various levels of the company.
- Experience with MapReduce and Hadoop ecosystem
- Proficiency with distributed computing and big data technologies
- Proficiency with Java and Python
- Proficiency with data analysis platforms, preferably R
- Experience in Financial Services domain
- Experience working in a fast paced and continuously changing environment
