Qualification and Skills Required
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or Masters in Statistics
- Overall 8+ years’ experience with at least 2 full implementations of analytics solutions using tools such as SPSS, R, Mahout, RapidMiner, SAS Enterprise Miner
- Good domain knowledge in at least one of – Healthcare, Insurance, BFS, Capital Markets, Retail, Manufacturing
- Experience in building models of different types – Regression, Classification, Clustering and Association techniques / supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
- Good understanding of business problems and application of analytics to the same
- Excellent data analysis and manipulation skills
- Expertise with general purpose programming and data integration
- SQL and relational database programming
- Knowledge of SEMMA / CRISP-DM methodologies
- Adept at learning and applying new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent client facing experience
- Strong team player capable of working in a demanding environment
- Experience in Data warehousing and business intelligence projects
- Exposure to text mining
- Experience with pre-packaged analytics such as SAS® Fraud Framework for Insurance, SAS® Profitability Management
- Exposure to Big Data (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Pig) / NoSQL databases (e.g., Mongo DB, CouchDB)
