Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Business customers, developers and external vendors to design, develop, and deliver high-impact analytics solutions which will produce significant business insights across the enterprise.
Qualification and Skills Required
- Working with cross-functional teams to discover and develop actionable, high-impact data analytics need and opportunity statements in a variety of core business areas.
- Develop creative data acquisition solutions to strategic problems, driving the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources, collaborating with data warehouse engineers on data selection, preprocessing and formatting
- Leading POCs to create break through technical solutions, performing exploratory and targeted data analyses
- Comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
- Proven analytics capability to robustly examine large data sets and highlight patterns, anomalies, relationships and trends
- Detailed knowledge of core business processes in one or more industries, with a strong understanding of business operations, decision processes, and business financial models
- Highly collaborative work style, yet must demonstrate ability to provide leadership to a cross-functional team, leveraging strong project management skills
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in conceptual thinking of how to apply information solutions to a business challenge
- Strong listening and communications skills, able to clearly and concisely explain complex problems and technologies to non-expert and executive audiences
- Experience with one or several of the following technologies:
- Analysis tools – R, Tableau, Microstrategy, Pentaho etc
- Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystem and/or MongoDB
- Relational Database: MySQL
- Data Modeling
- Hands on experience with Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence, and Analytics Systems Design & Development
- bility to manipulate large amounts of data for analytical projects and translate that data into sound insights
- Strong experience working with structured and unstructured data, ETL, and scripting languages
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Master’s preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex data driven problems
- Passion to solve business issues with fact based data
