Location - Chennai
About the Role:
Analysts work with Client Service Teams (CSTs) globally, and engage in complex modeling and analytically focused strategies across a wide platform of projects, from network optimization to large-scale global transformation to predictive maintenance etc. Analysts work with data-driven teams by modeling and using data in creative ways, and apply problem solving to a growing number of client situations.
Career growth from this position will be as a Senior Analyst focusing on specific analytical domain.
Detailed Desription :
Apply and advise on state-of-the-art advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques in order to derive business insights and solve complex business problems
Deep technical experience in the key areas of : distributed computing, machine learning, statistics and programming
Core programming experience with R, Python (core) and Spark/Scala/RapidMiner (non-core)
Proficiency in statistical data analysis and data mining packages SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, STATA, etc.
Machine learning and generic algorithms worked can include Cost Function, Neural Networks, Random Forest, Support Vector machines, Gradient Boosting , Naïve Bayes etc.
Very comfortable with statistical techniques including correlation, regression, clustering, time-series etc.
Proven comfort and an intellectual curiosity for working with very large sets of data, pulling in relevant team members to address identified – and sometimes undiscovered – client needs.
Problem solve with the client service/data science team to explore findings and insights from analysis. Create value for clients and client service teams by understanding their needs and translating them into optimal desired analytical services
Further, the Analyst is a willing self-starter who possesses:
Discernible communication skills, especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues, at all levels
Willingness to support knowledge development for the Firm’s analytic group and help develop a roadmap for a greater understanding of analytics and its impact in the consulting population
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
BTech/MTech (equivalent BS/MS) in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Quantitative social sciences
1-3 years of deep technical experience in machine learning, statistics and programming
High-value personal qualities including critical thinking and creative problem solving skills; an ability to influence and work in teams; resourcefulness; tenacity; independent thought leader; self-confident, etc.
Strong command of English language (both verbal and written)
The Analyst would be located in Chennai, India and may be required to travel to serve clients onsite to understand their requirements, and designing / developing solutions.

Guides aim to serve as a one-stop resource, providing detailed insights and practical applications, whereas articles might focus on narrower or more specific topics.
Depending on the type of competition, you can participate individually or in a team.
Multiple submissions of the same article are prohibited and could lead to disqualification. Articles failing to meet the required length, originality, or citation standards will be rejected.
AVCC is a community for authors who have had three or more articles published in the Blogathons. Members benefit from monetary rewards for each published article and get the opportunity to showcase their work to a larger audience.
