T K Anuradha, a distinguished scientist and accomplished leader, has made significant contributions to the field of space sciences and engineering. Born on April 30, 1960, she has left an indelible mark on the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) with her exceptional expertise and visionary leadership.

Throughout her illustrious career, Anuradha has been associated with numerous groundbreaking projects. From 2018 to 2020, she led the Satellite-based Communication Program for ISRO, focusing on planning, policy implementation, and orbital spectral asset management. Also as Programme Director, she spearheaded the Geo Platform Satellite Programs, overseeing the successful realization of communication, navigation, and Earth observation satellites. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first woman Project Director from ISRO Satellite Centre. Under her dynamic leadership, she led teams responsible for the successful realization and launch of several communication satellites.

Anuradha’s contributions extended to the design of platform configurations for a new class of satellites, making her an instrumental figure in the advancement of satellite technology. Her exceptional leadership and achievements have earned her several prestigious awards and accolades. Notably, she was awarded the “Space Gold Medal” in 2003 by the Astronautical Society of India for her exemplary services in the field of space sciences. She has also received the “ISRO Merit Award” in 2012, the “Space Systems Management Award” in 2016, and the “ISRO Performance Excellence Award” in 2019, among others.
