Prior to this, he contributed to building foundational models for enhancing Reels and Video recommendations at Meta. Before joining Meta, Bhavul served as a Research Scientist Tech Lead at Zapr (now part of Samsung), where he led Applied NLP Research efforts. His passion for AI extends beyond his professional role, as he actively contributes to open-source AI research and projects. Recently, he led language modeling and agentic projects with Manifold, a distributed research group.
