DataHour: An Introduction and Hands-On to Named Entity Recognition
About the Event
Named Entity Recognition(NER) is a natural language processing(NLP) technique that recognizes defined text from a given sentence or a paragraph. For example: “I am traveling from New Delhi to Hyderabad”, for location based entities, “New Delhi” and “Hyderabad” are recognized as “Location”, where “Location” is a defined entity to be recognized from a sentence. Similarly we can recognize and chunk out entities like “Person”,”Country”, “Currency”, “Product Names”
In this DataHour, Vikash will demonstrate the concept of Named Entity Recognition in detail. He’ll also be doing hands-on practical on a problem statement for your better understanding.
Prerequisites: Enthusiasm for learning and basic knowledge of Google Colaboratory for the practical part.
