DataHour: Fundamentals of Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies

About the Event

The World Economic Forum (WEF) projected that up to 10% of the global (Gross Domestic Product) GDP will be stored in Blockchains and cryptocurrencies by 2027. Over the last five years there have been trends to show developing value-chains in blockchain with major global institutions such as Meta (formerly Facebook), Red Cross, Tesla, MicroStrategy among others and governments such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE) actively taking part in it. These trends have a potential to influence capital flows, economic activities and jobs. The regulatory environments are aligning to facilitate these innovative trends and also to protect consumers both in the public and private sectors.

In this DataHour, Benjamin will explain how and why blockchain is being adopted in the Public and Private sector and its regulatory trends and emerging careers will also be discussed.
