DataHour: Text Classification for Beginners
About the Event
The field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), which involves deciphering language and extracting data from text, has produced advanced models like BERT and GPT.
However, in this DataHour with Ankit Gadi, we will focus on fundamental NLP techniques. We'll begin with a brief examination of the typical obstacles faced in NLP, and then move on to a practical application of text classification. Our aim is not to achieve the optimal result, but rather to explore methods such as TF-IDF, count vectorization, and machine learning in NLP.
Prerequisites: The zeal for learning new technologies, and good to have knowledge of Logistic Regression, Random forest, Light GBM.
