Business Analytics is used for strategic, operational and tactical decision making across industry verticals such as banking, financial services, telecom, manufacturing and retail.
PwC, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, and ICICI Bank, the second largest bank in India, have extensive experience and expertise in the field of Analytics. They recognize the dearth of trained resources and have decided to support this program as they believe that this will help create a larger talent pool for this industry.
Program Objective:
The Course aims at equipping the students with the tools, techniques and skills to enable a seamless absorption in the domain of Business Data Analytics:
Technology Skills: an understanding of the tools like Excel, R, SAS, Hadoop, Python, NOSQL (MongoDB) and the Amazon EC2 cloud and a deep enough understanding to extract and analyze data
Statistical Modeling and Analytical Skills: knowledge of the statistics, data mining and machine learning techniques available and the ability to create models
Applying analytics to business situations: an understanding of the business aspect of analytics with focus on the financial sector, telecom and retail to enhance the quality of the analysis
Communication and Visualization Skills: presenting the analysis so as to be “user friendly”.
