The most consequential AI systems of the coming decade won't be the fastest or the most autonomous, they will be the most trustworthy. As enterprises rush to deploy AI agents, the risks of removing human judgment are becoming clear. This session makes the case that the future of work depends not on maximising autonomy, but on keeping humans meaningfully in the loop.

In this talk, I will explore why humans and AI perform best in combination, each doing what it does better than the other, and how the human role grows rather than shrinks as AI capability expands.

The session will connect these ideas to the practical realities of organisations, including how team structures will shift from transactional to judgment-based work, and how agentic workflows will evolve where AI agents execute every stage under continuous human oversight.
