This course teaches you how to take advantage of the SQL language to access big data stored in HDFS or HBase using SQL. The course presents the different alternatives for SQL access, such as Hive, Impala, and Big SQL. The course includes hands on exercises and access to a Hadoop cluster with Hive, HBase, HDFS and Big SQL, so you can try these technologies first hand. At the end of the course you will understand the different alternatives for accessing Big Data with SQL, and you will gain hands-on experience with these technologies.
