No, Claude Code requires either a Claude subscription or Anthropic API access, billed separately by Anthropic. The course is free; the tool has its own cost. Check Anthropic's current pricing page before you start, and plan for API or subscription spend during the hands-on modules.
You need some form of access to Claude Code to do the practical work. A standard subscription tier is sufficient for most modules; the multi-agent and large-codebase modules consume more usage, so factor that in.
Modules are published in three Thursday drops: Modules 1–2 first, Modules 3–4 the following Thursday, and Modules 5–7 the Thursday after that. Once released, a module stays available permanently.
