Job Description:

The News Analytics team is looking for an experienced and dynamic individual who will help the team drive and deliver incisive analysis to the leadership team at Reuters News. Such an individual should be patient enough to trawl through vast amounts of data, have the curiosity to question and understand it and conduct thorough research and analysis to derive meaningful information. He/She will need to come up with effective presentation methods (dashboards, presentations etc.) to present the findings to the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help us generate and also collate our data for any quality issues
  • He/She will also need to work with developers to identify problems and derive solutions to fix any issues
  • Look through our competitor monitoring data and derive weekly/monthly/quarterly trends which will help the leadership team take decisions
  • Design, generate and manage reports on global digital measurement KPIs [PVs/UVs/CTR]
  • Provide insights into user’s online behaviours and develop recommendations
  • Holistically understand usage behaviour of clients on desktop and mobile products/platforms, analyse that data, identify trends and make recommendations
  • Understands impact of social media and can devise KPIs to measure and monitor the impact of news

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • Possess strong analytical skills to conduct in-depth research into our data, and be able to tease out useful trends and highlights
  • Have the ability to synthesize raw data and provide recommendations and deliver qualitative and quantitative analyses to support various activities
  • Have proven experience in creating reports and dashboards across Web trends and Omniture
  • Possess good understanding of digital metrics, hands-on experience with tools and knowledge of various digital measurement technologies
  • Exposure to site-side, analytical reporting tools (especially Web Trends & Omniture SiteCatalyst) would be a plus
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience as data analyst or equivalent
  • Excellent data research and analysis skills
  • Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Project Management exposure
  • Knowledge of SQL queries and relational database will be a plus ( not mandatory)
  • Experience using data visualisation tools like Tableau would be a plus ( not mandatory)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Consistency in delivering error-free work, on time, at standards that exceed customer expectations
