Responsibilities
- Manage complex technical projects and a team of software engineers
- Highly technical, own and influence technical design, and be a hands-on coder
- Able to coach and mentor team members, provide frequent and constructive feedback to team
- Participate in the hiring process
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 7 – 10 years of software Engineering experience, 2 years of Managerial experience
- Previous leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong experience in Object Oriented programming language like Java or C++
- Ability to work cross functionally in a high paced environment
- Experience with NoSQL databases, e.g. Cassandra
- Experience with Hadoop/MapReduce
- Experience with Amazon Web Services infrastructure (EC2, S3, Elastic MapReduce)
