Responsibilities
- We are looking for a Data Scientist who has an expertise in extracting meaningful inferences from large set of data, using relevant and sophisticated statistical/mathematical techniques with the use of contemporary technology.
- The candidate should be passionate about data and should be adept in driving innovative solutions that efficiently meet the needs of the business. In other words, you are as comfortable working with your technology partners to mine the edges of the Hadoop cluster or similar configuration.
- You know how to rise above the numbers and explain the essential idea to business users.
- We are creating a new data analysis team that will cater to our clients with analytics services on their user data.
- The successful candidate will be a key member of the team in establishing this new function in the organization.
- Cross-organizational leadership skills will be vital, as he or she may have to work with business partners too besides the internal stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills utilizing diverse database (structured and unstructured) and analysis software packages.
- This role will provide a great exposure in terms of providing a chance to explore all aspects of analytics and take the practice to a matured level.
Qualification and Skills Required
- 3-8 years of experience
- Masters in quantitative degree (Statistics, Decisions Sciences, Computer Science, Economics etc..) preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in data modeling and analysis
- Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypothesis and make recommendations to broader audience required
- Technical skill set highly preferred with at least one of the (SQL, R, excel, predictive modeling skills required; Hadoop familiarity a plus) combined a with a modern big data mindset
- Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences including senior leadership teams
